It would seem that many of my friends and Twitter followers watched the Dr Oz show because I've been getting tons of questions today about 50 Shades of Gray. Have I read it? Did I like it? Is The Winemaker's Dinner similar to it? The answer is, No, I have not read 50 Shades, nor do I plan to, at least not for a long while. As y'all know, The Winemaker's Dinner series has been picked up by Omnific Publishing. Right now I need to focus on blazing my own path and getting the TWD books finished. Did I know about 50 Shades when I started writing TWD? No, I did not. I hadn't even heard of it until recently when it began to make headlines. Perhaps at a later time when I don't have so much on my plate, I'll pick it up. And for the record... TWD is NOTHING like 50 Shades. TWD is it's own story. Plain and simple. 50 Shades is fiction. TWD is is a unique blend of fact and fiction that incorporates a real life, living, breathing hero into the story. It IS the real life story of Ivan Rusilko's love life blended with a fictious plotline that will keep you wondering what is real and what is fiction. I've been writing erotica since my college days, so this isn't a new thing for me. TWD was not written on the tails of 50 Shades. It's something that's been in the making for over a year now. I hope this answers your questions. If not, feel free to post them below.
